PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a start control apparatus capable of safely releasing a vehicle.SOLUTION: A start control apparatus comprises: a blocking bar 2; a holding unit 3 capable of holding the blocking bar 2; an opening/closing mechanism 4 that, in a state in which the blocking bar 2 is held by the holding unit 3, rotatably supports the holding unit 3 so that the blocking bar 2 acts from a closed position for blocking a roadway R to an open position for opening the roadway R; a release rotation mechanism 5 that, in a state in which the holding unit 3 is in the closed position, supports the blocking bar 2 so as to be capable of rotating around a release shaft 33 with respect to the holding unit 3 from a use position P1a at which the blocking bar 2 held by the holding unit 3 blocks the roadway R to a release position P1b at which the blocking bar is disposed so as to extend to the depth side D2 in the traveling direction D of a vehicle; a release act mechanism 6 that presses the blocking bar 2 so as to make the blocking bar 2 rotate around the release shaft 33 from the use position P1a to the release position P1b; and a control unit for controlling act of the release act mechanism 6.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
