PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a movable partition device with high durability, which can restrain an impact noise and a vibration noise generated by a collision between a runner and a rail from being propagated to a living space or an upper story, by alleviating the noises.SOLUTION: In a movable partition device 10 or 10a, a runner 200 moving along inner walls 140 and 160 of a rail 100 supported by a ceiling suspends and supports a panel 300 via a support shaft 202 of the runner 200. The inner walls 140 and 160 of the rail 100 are provided with a support shaft buffer material 500 that protrudes from the inner walls 140 and 160 in such a manner as to be capable of coming into contact with the support shaft 202.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
