PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified asphalt composition excellent in recoverability after tension and heat aging resistance during storage and a modified asphalt mixture using the same.SOLUTION: There is provided a modified asphalt composition which contains 100 pts.mass of asphalt (X) and 0.5 to 8 pts.mass of a block copolymer (Y) having polymer blocks (A1) and (A2) which mainly contain a vinyl aromatic monomer unit and a copolymer block (B) which contains a conjugated diene monomer unit and a vinyl aromatic monomer unit and having molecular distribution represented by the formula (1): molecular weight distribution=(molecular weight on high molecular weight side in the full width at half maximum of a peak molecular weight of the polymer blocks (A) and (A2))/(molecular weight on low molecular weight side in the full width at half maximum of a peak molecular weight of the polymer blocks (A) and (A2)) of 1.10 to 1.46 and has G/sinδ ratio represented by the formula (2): G/sinδ ratio=(G/sinδ(60°C))/(G/sinδ(80°C)) of 5.0 to less than 6.5.SELECTED DRAWING: None
【課題】引張後の回復性及び貯蔵時の耐熱老化性に優れた改質アスファルト組成物、並びに、これを用いた改質アスファルト混合物を提供する。【解決手段】アスファルト(X)100質量部と、ビニル芳香族単量体単位を主体とする重合体ブロック(A1)及び(A2)並びに共役ジエン単量体単位及びビニル芳香族単量体単位を含む共重合体ブロック(B)を有し、式(1):分子量分布=(重合体ブロック(A1)及び(A2)のピーク分子量の半値全幅時の高分子量側の分子量)/(重合体ブロック(A1)及び(A2)のピーク分子量の半値全幅時の低分子量側の分子量)で表される分子量分布が1.10〜1.46であるブロック共重合体(Y)0.5〜8質量部と、を含み、式(2):G*/sinδ比=(G*/sinδ(60℃))/(G*/sinδ(80℃))で表されるG*/sinδ比が、5.0〜6.5未満である改質アスファルト組成物。【選択図】なし
