PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger loading bridge capable of properly detecting a fact that drive wheels of a travel device used for extension movement and/or horizontal movement of a tunnel part come close to an obstacle.SOLUTION: A passenger loading bridge comprises: a tunnel part which is fitted in a nested box-state, and which can relatively move in a cross direction and which can be extended; a drive column which is used for vertical movement of the tunnel part; and a travel device 13 which is used for extension movement and/or horizontal movement of the tunnel part. The travel device comprises: a support frame 17 for supporting the drive column; a driver 16A mounted on the support frame; drive wheels 14A, 14B driven by the driver; and a detection part for detecting a fact that the drive wheels come close to an obstacle. The detection part 39A comprises: a holding member 33 which is connected to the support frame; a flexible member 30 which is held to the holding member, and stretched in the surrounding of the drive wheels; a tensioner 31 for applying tension force to the flexible member; and a switch 32 which is switched based on a change of the tension force applied to the flexible member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
