PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which enables a cumulative plastic deformation amount of a vibration damper to be externally measured.SOLUTION: A vibration damper 1A comprises a cumulative plastic deformation measuring device 3A installed on a damper body 2. The cumulative plastic deformation measuring device 3A has a moving direction restriction mechanism 35 which restricts a moving direction of a moving plate 32 to a compression direction Cp of a shaft member 21 in a manner that: allows an arm member 33A to move in association with a displacement of the moving plate 32 when a stiffening member 22 is displaced relative to a connection member 23a with a deformation of the shaft member 21 in the compression direction Cp; and allows the arm member 33A to move relative to the moving plate 32 when the stiffening member is displaced relative to the connection member 23a with the deformation of the shaft member 21 in a tensile direction Ts.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】制振ダンパーの累積塑性変位量を外観より測定することが可能な技術を提供する。【解決手段】制振ダンパー1Aは、ダンパー本体2に設けられた累積塑性変位測定器3Aを備えている。そして、累積塑性変位測定器3Aは、軸部材21が圧縮方向Cpに変形して補剛部材22と連結部材23aとが相対変位したときに移動プレート32がアーム部材33Aの移動に伴って移動し、軸部材21が引張り方向Tsに変形して補剛部材と連結部材23aとが相対変位したときにアーム部材33Aが移動プレート32に対して相対移動するようにして移動プレート32の移動方向を軸部材21の圧縮方向Cpに制限する移動方向制限機構35とを備えている。【選択図】図1
