PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encapsulated honeycomb structure for reducing pressure loss while maintaining high capture and collection efficiency of fine particles.SOLUTION: An encapsulated honeycomb structure 1 has a honeycomb structure having a partition wall 4 for partition forming a plurality of cells 3 extending from an edge surface 2a to another edge surface and a plurality of encapsulated parts 6 encapsulated according to an arrangement basis to the cell 3 and according to the arrangement basis to remaining cells on another edge surface, the honeycomb structure is formed in at least a part of a partition wall cross part 7 where partition walls 4 on the edge surface 2 are crossed, communicates between a pair of cells 3 facing each other at a position corresponding to the partition wall cross part 7 and has further a distribution pore part 8 capable of distribution of a fluid and a value of diameter D1 of a first virtual inscription circle C1 inscribed at a position of the minimum pore width of the communication pore part 8 divided by diameter D2 of a second virtual inscription circle inscribed at a position of the minimum encapsulation width between the encapsulated parts 6 facing each other in a range of 0.05 to 0.74.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】微粒子の捕集効率を高く維持するとともに、圧力損失の低減化を図った目封止ハニカム構造体の提供を課題とする。【解決手段】目封止ハニカム構造体1は、一方の端面2aから他方の端面まで延びる複数のセル3を区画形成する隔壁4を有するハニカム構造部と、セル3に対して所定の配設基準に従って目封止し、他方の端面の残余のセルに対して配設基準に従って目封止した複数の目封止部6とを備え、ハニカム構造部は、一方の端面2aにおける隔壁4が交差する隔壁交点部7の少なくとも一部に形成され、隔壁交点部7に相当する位置に互いに対向する一対のセル3の間を連通し、流体の流通を可能とする流通孔部8を更に備え、流通孔部8の最小孔幅の位置で内接する第一仮想内接円C1の直径D1を、互いに対向する目封止部6の間の最小目封止幅の位置で内接する第二仮想内接円C2の直径D2で除した値が、0.05〜0.74の範囲である。【選択図】図3
