UPWARD WELDING METHOD AND UPWARD WELDING STRUCTURE
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the appearance of a welding bead by suppressing a drop down of molten metal at both ends in a lateral direction in upward welding.SOLUTION: An upward welding method enables one of steel materials and the other opposite in forward and rearward directions crossing vertical directions and lateral directions to be welded with each other in upward attitudes via a gap extending in the lateral direction crossing the vertical directions. This method has an end material arrangement step of a pair of end materials so as to face the gap from both sides in the lateral directions and a welding step of filling the gap with a molten weld metal from below the gap to weld the one steel material with other steel material. In the welding step, the weld metal is brought into contact with the end material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
【課題】上向き溶接において横方向の両端での溶接金属の垂れ落ちを抑制して、溶接ビードの外観の良化を図る。【解決手段】上下方向と交差する横方向に延びた間隙を介して、前記上下方向及び前記横方向と交差する前後方向に対向する一方の鋼材と他方の鋼材とを、上向き姿勢で溶接する上向き溶接方法である。前記横方向の両側から前記間隙に対向するように、一対の端材を配置する端材配置ステップと、前記間隙の下方から前記間隙に溶融状態の溶接金属を充填して、前記一方の鋼材と前記他方の鋼材とを溶接する溶接ステップと、を有する。前記溶接ステップにおいては、前記溶接金属を前記端材に接触させる。【選択図】図4
