PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing artificial marble which obtains artificial marble having excellent natural feeling and high designability, and is improved so as to achieve both such appearance and physical characteristics such as excellent impact absorbing performance and surface scratch resistance.SOLUTION: A method for producing artificial marble includes: (A) a step of cast molding a resin composition 3 obtained by mixing powder 2 made of a stone material with a thermosetting resin 1 having flexibility, to a metal mold 4; (B) a step of precipitating the powder 2 made of the stone material to form a powder layer made of the stone material, in the resin composition 3 cast molded to the metal mold 4; and (C) a step of curing and molding the resin composition 3 obtained by precipitating the powder 2 made of the stone material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】 自然感に優れた意匠性の高い人造大理石が得られ、しかもこのような外観性と優れた衝撃吸収性能と表面の耐傷性等の物理的特性を両立させることができる改善された新しい人造大理石の製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】 （Ａ）可撓性を有する熱硬化性樹脂１に石材の粉体２を混合した樹脂組成物３を金型４に注型する工程；（Ｂ）金型４に注型した樹脂組成物３において、石材の粉体２を沈降させて石材の粉体層を形成する工程；（Ｃ）石材の粉体２を沈降させた樹脂組成物３を硬化成形する工程を含む。【選択図】図１
