SNOW MELTING HEATER
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snow melting heater that enhances snow melting efficiency almost equally on overall heating surface, even when used under a severe environment such as snow melting in an area with heavy snow and strong wind, or when melting snow using a vehicle.SOLUTION: A snow melting heater 30 includes: a box-shaped casing 40 with a top plate 41, a surrounding wall 42, and a bottom plate 43 (45); and a PTC heater 20 disposed inside the box-shaped casing 40. The surrounding wall 42 of the box-shaped casing 40 has a height that equals or is greater than a thickness of a layer of the PTC heater 20. Inner surfaces of the top plate 41 and the surrounding wall 42 are entirely covered by the PTC heater 20. Furthermore, at least a portion of the bottom plate 43 (45) close to the surrounding wall 42 is covered by the PTC heater 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】豪雪強風地域での融雪処理や車両での融雪処理などのように、過酷な環境下で用いる場合であっても、ヒーター面の全面においてほぼ等しい融雪処理効率を上げることのできる融雪ヒーターを得る。【解決手段】天板４１と周囲壁４２と底板４３（４５）とからなる箱型ケーシング４０と箱型ケーシング４０内に配置されたＰＴＣヒーター２０とを備えた融雪ヒーター３０において、箱型ケーシング４０の周囲壁４２はＰＴＣヒーター２０の一層の厚み以上の高さを有し、天板４１および周囲壁４２の内面の全部はＰＴＣヒーター２０で覆われており、底板４３（４５）の少なくとも周囲壁４２に近接する領域もＰＴＣヒーター２０で覆われている。【選択図】図３
