PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double hung window capable of improving fireproof performance.SOLUTION: A double hung window 1 comprises: a pair of jambs 23, 23, which are fixed to a wall part (skeleton) 12; a transom 5, which is disposed between the pair of jambs 23, 23 and fixed to the pair of jambs 23, 23; an upper sash 3, which is disposed above the transom 5 and fixed to the transom 5; and a lower sash 4, which is vertically movably supported by the pair of jambs 23, 23. The double hung window has a transom support 61, which is formed of incombustible material and fixed to the jamb 23 and can support the transom 5 from below.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
