DISPLACEMENT DISPLAY DEVICE AND VIBRATION DAMPER
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a displacement display device with which it is possible to measure and display cumulative and maximum amounts of displacement by mechanical means without using electric power.SOLUTION: The displacement display device comprises: a linear motion transmission unit 11, provided on one of a pair of relative displacement portions that cause relative displacement upon an earthquake, which moves linearly in a relative displacement direction; a rotational motion transmission unit 12, provided on the other of the pair of relative displacement portions and connected to the linear motion transmission unit, which converts the linear motion of the linear motion transmission unit to a rotational motion; a unidirectional rotation conversion unit 9 constituted with a plurality of rotation transmission elements for converting forward and reverse rotations transmitted from the rotational motion transmission unit to a unidirectional rotation; a cumulative displacement amount display unit 10 for displaying the cumulative amount of displacement of the pair of relative displacement portions, using the unidirectional rotation transmitted from the unidirectional rotation conversion unit; and a maximum displacement amount display unit for displaying the maximum amount of displacement of the pair of relative displacement portions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
