PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shielding device that comprises a brake unit capable of adjusting a braking force for each product.SOLUTION: A shielding device 100A is configured so that a shield material 101 can be moved by pulling a tension cord 102. The shielding device comprises a brake unit 1000 which generates resistance to input applied by the tension cord 102 driven in association with movement of the shield material 101 and which applies the resistance to the tension cord 102 by reaction thereto. The brake unit 1000 comprises a rotational resistor. A resistance force is generated by rotating the rotational resistor, and the number of the rotational resistors or the type of the rotational resistor can be changed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
