FOLDING DEVICE FOR TATAMI SURFACE MATERIAL
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly convenient and versatile folding device for a tatami surface material that offers improved work efficiency and is capable of folding a top front side of the tatami surface material into a form fitting to a top front side of a tatami base, at the same time folding a lower front side of the tatami surface material into a form fitting to a lower front side of the tatami base.SOLUTION: The folding device for a tatami surface material includes an upper front side tatami surface material folding unit 16 provided on an edge part on a mounting frame 12, and a lower front side tatami surface material folding unit 18 provided on the other edge part on the mounting frame 12. The upper front side tatami surface material folding unit 16 is horizontally movable in a direction to approach/separate from the lower front side tatami surface material folding unit 18, and the lower front side tatami surface material folding unit 18 is horizontally movable in the direction to approach/separate from the upper front side tatami surface material folding unit 16. Furthermore, the lower front side tatami surface material folding unit 18 is rotatable in the horizontal direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
