PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening and closing member drive unit capable of suppressing wrong judgement indicating that something is caught or stuck in.SOLUTION: A power window device 1 comprises: a motor M, which opens or closes a window glass WG; and a control part 5, which executes an abnormality judgement processing to judge that a foreign matter is caught in or stuck in by comparing rotational speed of the motor M and a threshold set previously and a mask processing to disable the abnormality judgement processing only during a mask period preset on startup of the motor M. The control part 5 has a correction part 6, which corrects the mask period when the motor M is started up in opposite direction from a previous startup in a state where the window glass WG stays within a high load range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】挟み込みや巻き込みの発生の誤判定を抑えることができる開閉部材駆動装置を提供すること。【解決手段】パワーウィンドウ装置１は、ウィンドウガラスＷＧを開閉させるためのモータＭと、モータＭの回転速度とそれ以前に設定されたしきい値とを比較して異物の挟み込み又は巻き込みの発生を判定する異常判定処理と、モータＭの起動時に予め設定されたマスク期間分だけ異常判定処理を無効化するマスク処理とを行う制御部５とを備える。制御部５は、ウィンドウガラスＷＧが高負荷範囲にある状態で、モータＭが前回とは反対方向に起動される際、マスク期間を補正する補正部６を備える。【選択図】図１
