PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus which easily reduces the load required for analyzing an image, a display device, an information processing method, and a program.SOLUTION: A method includes: acquiring images (road surface images, for example) obtained by sequentially imaging an area including a plane (road surface, for example) by means of an imaging apparatus mounted on a moving body moving along the plane; extracting second images by decimating first images from the sequentially captured images, on the basis of movement information, such as changes in moving distance or moving direction of the moving body; and determining a state of the plane in each of the second images.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】画像の解析に要する負荷を、容易に低減する情報処理装置、表示装置、情報処理方法及びプログラムを提供する。【解決手段】方法は、面（例えば、路面）に沿って移動する移動体に搭載された撮像装置で続けて撮像され、当該面を含む領域が撮像された画像（例えば、路面画像）を取得する。移動体の移動距離や移動方向の変化などの移動情報に基づいて、続けて撮像された画像から第１画像を間引くことで、残りの第２画像を抽出する。そして、第２画像の各々について、当該第２画像中の面の状態を判定する。【選択図】図１
