PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic electronic component and a dielectric ceramic composition which improve temperature characteristics in a wide temperature region.SOLUTION: A ceramic electronic component contains a first element group and a second element group, where the first element group contains 20 or more and 40 pts.wt. or less of Ba in terms of BaO, 48 or more and 75 pts.wt. or less of Si in terms of SiO, and 5 or more and 20 pts.wt. or less of Al in terms of AlOwith respect to 100 pts.wt. of the first element group that is composed of Ba, Si and Al and in which Ba is BaO, Si is SiOand Al is AlO. The second element group contains 1 or more and 10 pts.wt. or less of Mn in terms of MnO, 1 or more and 35 pts.wt. or less of Sr in terms of SrO, 0.1 or more and 6 pts.wt. or less of Mg in terms of MgO, 1 or more and 35 pts.wt. or less of Ti in terms of TiOand 1 or more and 35 pts.wt. or less of Fe in terms of FeOwith respect to 100 pts.wt. of the first element group that is composed of at least one of Ti and Fe, and Mn, Sr and Mg and in which Ba is BaO, Si is SiOand Al is AlO.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
