ARTIFICIAL GROUND AND METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING THE SAME
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct artificial ground with high stability with the effect of suppressing sinking by utilizing repulsion energy and buoyancy of a foamed resin block.SOLUTION: The artificial ground includes a foamed resin block 1, a pile 4, a field-in-place concrete 7, and a reinforcing bar 10. The foamed resin block has an inverted pyramidal recess 2 on the upper surface of the block and a pile insertion hole 3 at the bottom of the inverted pyramidal recess 2 and is laid on the ground 15. The piles are driven into the local ground 15 through the pile insertion holes 3, leaving the upper part in the inverted pyramidal recess 2. The field-in-place concrete 7 has an inverted pyramidal portion 8 which is placed in the inverted pyramidal recess 2 and joined to the upper portion of the pile 4 and has a plate-like portion 9 placed on the foamed resin block 1 and integrated with the inverted pyramidal portion 8.
