To provide a method with which it is possible to simply and quickly quantify, with high accuracy, the silica fume included in a silica fume-containing cement composition that includes silica fume and Portland cement.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for quantifying silica fume included in a silica fume-containing cement composition, including: a Portland cement dissolving step for mixing, after measuring the mass of a silica fume-containing cement composition and obtaining a mass m, the silica fume-containing cement composition and an aqueous hydrochloric acid solution whose hydrochloric acid concentration lies in the range from 5 mass% to 10 mass% inclusive, heating the obtained mixture at temperatures 80°C to 100°C inclusive, and dissolving the Portland cement; an insoluble matter recovery step for recovering insoluble matter in the mixture and measuring its mass to obtain a mass m; and a calculation step for calculating the amount of silica fume included in the silica fume-containing cement composition using the mass mand mass m.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
