To provide a follower that can be connected even with steel pipe piles and steel pipe sheet piles of different steel pipe diameters.SOLUTION: The present invention comprises a main body 40 which may surround a portion of a pin joint 20 where an outward groove 22 is provided, an inward groove 42 provided at a position facing the outward groove 22 in an inner circumferential surface 41 of the main body 40, a retaining key 44 which can be disposed at a straddle position straddling the outward groove portion 22 provided in the pin joint 20, and a ball plunger 46 constituting a position fixing mechanism capable of fixing the retaining key 44 in the straddle position even if the pin joint 20 has different outer diameters in a portion where the outward groove portion 22 is provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 17
