METHOD FOR PRODUCING HIGH-TEMPERATURE SEAL MEMBER, AND HIGH-TEMPERATURE SEAL MEMBER
To provide a seal member for gas seal, used for a high-temperature part, especially to provide: a method for producing a high-temperature seal member excellent in thermal insulating properties and capable of ensuring sufficient sealability, as a seal member comprising a ceramic-based composite material; and the high-temperature seal member.SOLUTION: A method for producing a high-temperature seal member 10B includes: an impregnation step of impregnating a liquid matter, which comprises an oxide ceramic powder or an oxide ceramic product, in a fiber aggregate, which is formed by entwining non-oxide inorganic fibers irregularly, to form an impregnated body; and a baking step of baking the impregnated body. Preferably, the method for producing the high-temperature seal member 10B includes: arranging the impregnated body at a position where the seal member 10B to be the product in an actual machine should be installed, in a step prior to the baking step; and then baking the impregnated body through a heat to be added to the impregnated body during the operation of the actual machine as the baking step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】高温部位に使用されるガスシールのためのシール部材、特にセラミック基複合材料からなるシール部材として、断熱性に優れると同時に、充分にシール性を確保することが可能な高温用シール部材の製造方法、および高温用シール部材の提供。【解決手段】非酸化物系無機繊維が不規則に絡み合ってなる繊維集合体に、酸化物系セラミック粉末もしくは酸化物系セラミック生成物質を含む液状物を含浸させて、含浸体を形成する含浸工程と、前記含浸体を焼成する焼成工程とを有する高温用シール部材10Bの製造方法。また好ましくは、前記含浸体を、焼成工程以前の段階で、実機における製品のシール部材10Bを装着すべき箇所に配置し、前記焼成工程として、実機の運転時に前記含浸体に加えられる熱によって含浸体を焼成する高温用シール部材10Bの製造方法。【選択図】図3
