To provide a frame member and a window glass capable of securing strength at corner portions.SOLUTION: A frame member attached to a peripheral edge portion of a glass plate includes: a plurality of glazing channels; and a joining member that joins ends of the adjacent glazing channels in an abutment manner. The glazing channel includes: a main body having a U-shaped cross section with a bottom face portion and a side wall portion; and an outer protrusion extending from the main body to a principal face of the glass plate. The main body has a step portion supporting an end face of the glass plate and forming gaps between the end face of the glass plate and the bottom face portion. The joining member has receiving portions respectively bonded to the adjacent glazing channels, disposed continuously to each of the gaps, and receiving the two end faces of the glass plate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
【課題】コーナー部における強度を確保できる、枠部材、及び窓ガラスを提供する。【解決手段】ガラス板の周縁部に装着される枠部材は、枠部材は、複数のグレージングチャンネルと、隣接する前記グレージングチャンネルの端部同士を突き合わせて接合する接合部材と、を備え、グレージングチャンネルは、底面部及び側壁部を有するＵ字型の断面を有する本体部と、本体部からガラス板の主面に延びる外側突出部とを有し、かつ本体部は、ガラス板の端面を支持し、ガラス板の端面と底面部の間に空隙を形成する段差部を有し、接合部材は、隣接する前記グレージングチャンネルにそれぞれ接合され、かつ各前記空隙に連続して配置され、前記ガラス板の２つの端面を受ける受け部を、有する。【選択図】図５
