SHEARING TIE SYSTEM FOR VENTILATION TYPE ROOF RIDGE
To provide a roof ridge system having ridge vent holes dispensing with binding with metal strap reinforcement.SOLUTION: A sheathing roof board 18 is placed on a rafter 14, a space or a slot 20 is provided between an upper end of the sheathing roof board 18 and a ridge beam 16. The space or the slot 20 is spread along most part of the ridge beam 16 for providing an air flow passage for the building ventilation. A shearing tie strap 30 is connected to the ridge beam 16, and to the sheathing roof board 18 on at least any one side of the ridge beam 16.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
