To provide sand lifting water treatment equipment and a sand lifting water treatment method by which even refuse having a heavy specific gravity can be separated from sedimentary sand.SOLUTION: Sand lifting water treatment equipment 1, which treats sand lifting water containing sedimentary sand and refuse which are pumped from a sand sedimentation pond by a sand lifting pump, comprises: a flowing water trough 11 in which sand lifting water flows; a screen 21 which is located on a downstream side of the flowing water trough 11, stops refuse from sand lifting water and removes the refuse; and a sedimentary sand washing device (or a sedimentary sand separator for separation of sedimentary sand) 31 which performs removal and dewatering of fine dirt from sand lifting water which has passed the screen 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
