To provide a drain pile capable of suppressing the influence of liquefaction that can be easily installed around an existing structure, and a liquefaction countermeasure method using this drain pile.SOLUTION: A drain pile 100 of a typical configuration according to the present invention is a tubular drain pile 100 embedded in the ground, and comprises a tapered tip portion 104 which is closed, a water inlet 108 which is formed on a side surface 106 and into which underground water flows, and a water outlet 110 which is open on the ground.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
