To provide an authentication system and an authentication device, capable of improving efficiency of authentication processing while improving accuracy of authentication.SOLUTION: An authentication device 20 for communicating a plurality of portable terminals 10 to manage passage of a plurality of users from a first area to a second area adjacent to the first area includes: determination sound output means 262 for outputting determination sound to the first area in the case of receiving a trigger signal from each portable terminal 10; and passage permission means 266 for permitting a user of a portable terminal collecting the determination sound to pass from the first area to the second area. When a plurality of trigger signals are received from portable terminals differing from each other within a predetermined period, the determination sound output means 262 outputs single determination sound for the plurality of trigger signals.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】認証の精度を向上させつつ認証処理の効率を向上させることが可能な認証システムおよび認証装置を提供する。【解決手段】複数の携帯端末１０と通信し、第１エリアから第１エリアと隣接する第２エリアへの複数の利用者の通行を管理する認証装置２０であって、各携帯端末１０からトリガ信号を受信した場合、第１エリアに対して判定音を出力する判定音出力手段２６２と、判定音を集音した携帯端末の利用者に対して第１エリアから第２エリアへの通行を許可する通行許可手段２６６とを有し、判定音出力手段２６２は、所定期間内にそれぞれ異なる携帯端末から複数のトリガ信号を受信した場合、複数のトリガ信号に対してまとめて一つの判定音を出力する。【選択図】図２
