To provide a camera stabilizer for inspection object surface inspection suitable for close visual inspection of inspection object surface.SOLUTION: A camera stabilizer for inspection object surface inspection includes a camera mount capable of fixing and mounting an inspection camera photographing a moving-image or multiple still-pictures, a camera mount direction change mechanism for changing the direction of the camera mount around each of three axes orthogonal to each other at a base position, a distance sensor fixed and mounted on the camera mount together with the inspection camera, and continuously measuring the distances to at least multiple places of the inspection object surface, separated from each other in the longitudinal direction of the inspection camera, and camera mount direction control means for continuously controlling operation of the camera mount direction change mechanism so that the inspection camera always confronts the inspection object surface, on the basis of the distances to multiple places of the inspection object surface measured by the distance sensor, and the posture of the camera stabilizer for inspection object surface inspection detected by the posture sensor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
