To provide a plurality of support mechanisms disposed in a foundation and supporting a building which can maintain soundness with proper maintenance work by a simple structure.SOLUTION: A building foundation, instead of a conventional building foundation, comprises: a lower foundation structure 9b supported by a foundation; an upper foundation structure 9t supporting a building; a plurality of support mechanisms disposed between the upper foundation structure and the lower foundation structure; a cover member 2 forming a storage space H housing the plurality of support mechanisms between the lower foundation structure and the upper foundation structure; and a ventilation apparatus performing air ventilation of the storage space.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
