To provide an iris authentication apparatus capable of correctly acquiring iris data of eyes of a person to be authenticated when performing iris authentication and effectively preventing incorrect authentication.SOLUTION: An iris authentication apparatus includes an imaging unit 4 that captures an image of an iris of an authentication target F, a display unit 7 that displays a warning to call attention of the authentication target F in a position separated toward an upper eyelid direction of the authentication target F from an installation position of the imaging unit 4, and an authentication processing unit that performs iris authentication of the authentication target based on the image captured by the imaging unit 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
