To provide a steel material repairing method which can be applied even when a scaffold is insufficient, and which can improve corrosion factor cutoff performance.SOLUTION: A steel material repairing method is the steel material repairing method for repairing a corrosion part 2 formed on the surface of a steel material 1, and includes: a Step 1 which is a cleaning step of removing dirt attached to the surface of the corrosion part 2 without removing rust formed on the corrosion part 2; a Step 2 which is a coating step of coating an adhesive agent 4 on the whole surface of a metal foil 3 for covering the corrosion part 2; a Step 3 which is an attaching step of attaching the metal foil 3 on the surface of the steel material 1 so as to cover the corrosion part 2; and a Step 4 which is a water cutoff step of cutting off water at an end part of the metal foil 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
