To provide an aggregate for a refractory excellent in a heat insulating property and strength characteristics and a monolithic refractory prepared by using the same.SOLUTION: An aggregate for a refractory contains CaO 6AlOin a crystal phase and contains 0.002 mass% or more and 0.05 mass% or less of boron, having a bulk density of 0.60 g/cmor more and 0.95 g/cmor less in a particle sieved to a particle diameter of 3 mm or more and less than 6 mm, and a monolithic refractory is prepared by blending the aggregate with alumina cement, which provide an excellent heat insulating property and a high strength.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】本発明の目的は、優れた断熱性能及び強度特性を有する耐火物用骨材とそれを用いた不定形径耐火物を提供することにある。【解決手段】結晶相にCaO・6Al2O3を含み、粒径3mm以上6mm未満に篩分けした粒子のかさ密度が0.60g/cm3以上0.95g/cm3以下であり、0.002質量%以上0.05質量%以下のホウ素が含有されてなることを特徴とする耐火物用骨材であり、これとアルミナセメントを配合した不定形耐火物を用いることで、優れた断熱性能を有しつつ高い強度が得られる。【選択図】図1
