To provide a viscoelastic damper in which out-of-plane deformation of a member constituting the viscoelastic damper is suppressed and which can consequently sufficiently exhibiting energy absorption performance.SOLUTION: The viscoelastic damper according to the present invention is subjected to a load applied in a direction of an axis along which one end and the other end of the viscoelastic damper are connected to each other . The viscoelastic damper comprises a first steel product, a second steel product fixed to the first steel product to form a cylindrical body together with the first steel product, a third steel product arranged inside the cylindrical body, a first viscoelastic body sandwiched between the first steel product and the third steel product and fixed to the first steel product and the third steel product, and a second viscoelastic body sandwiched between the second steel product and the third steel product and fixed to the second steel product and the third steel product.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
