WELDING EQUIPMENT AND WELDING METHOD
To provide welding equipment and a welding method each of which is adaptable to an object to be welded having complicated shape, in automatic welding using a robot.SOLUTION: Welding equipment 1 comprises a horizontal joint arm 10 and a vertical articulated robot 20. The horizontal joint arm 10 has: a driving mechanism 13 that includes at least a fixed arm A0 to be positionally fixed to a place W to be welded, a first arm A1 that can turn around a vertical shaft D1 with respect to the fixed arm A0 and a second arm A2 that can turn around a vertical shaft D2 with respect to the first arm A1; and a robot mounting part 11 that is moved in a horizontal surface by the driving mechanism 13 with respect to the place W to be welded. The vertical articulated robot 20 is mounted on the robot mounting part 11 of the horizontal joint arm 10 and moves a welding tool 33 to perform welding of the place W to be welded.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
