SAFETY DEVICE, AUTOMATIC DOOR DEVICE, AND METHOD OF SECURING SAFETY OF AUTOMATIC DOOR
To improve safety by preventing an opening/closing body from continuously operating in a closing direction even if a body to be contacted is not detected by a sensor.SOLUTION: A safety device 1 for securing safety of an automatic door device, which includes a motor 6 for generating a driving force that allows an opening/closing body to automatically open/close, an opening/closing control unit 9 for controlling the motor to open/close the opening/closing body, and a sensor for detecting whether or not a body to be contacted exists in a moving path of the opening/closing body, includes: a current monitor unit 7 for detecting a current flowing through the motor; and an abnormality determination unit 8 for determining whether or not the current detected by the current monitor unit 7 is abnormal while the opening/closing body is moving in a closing direction. An output signal of the current monitor unit 7 is transmitted to the opening/closing control unit, and the opening/closing control unit 9 controls the motor to move or stop the opening/closing body in an opening direction when the abnormality determination unit determines that the current is abnormal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
