To provide a vehicle door lock structure in which an active lever and spring are easily attached to the housing.SOLUTION: The vehicle door lock structure includes a housing 100, an active lever 200, and a spring 300. The housing 100 has a retained portion 104 that is retained by the spring 300. The spring 300 has: a lock position retainer 306 that retains the retained portion 104 so that the active lever 200 is retained at a lock position; and an unlock position retainer 308 that retains the retained portion 104 so that the active lever 200 is retained at an unlock position.
