To resolve problems that prior arts have and thus provide an earth structure and a method that can prevent scouring of the front, piping that occurs at the rear, and seepage destruction of a levee body, and that can prevent sliding of the inside of the levee body and sinkage of the levee body due to liquefaction when an earthquake occurs.SOLUTION: A reinforced earth structure of this invention comprises a front slope surface and a rear slope surface, and further includes: a "body"; an "impermeable improvement body" that has permeability lower than that of the body; and a "permeable improvement body" that has permeability higher than that of the body. Note that the main material of the impermeable improvement body is a cement-based material, and the impermeable improvement body is formed on a part of the front slope surface including slope toes. On the other hand, the main material of the permeable improvement body is a cement-based material, and the permeable improvement body is formed on a part of the rear slope surface including slope toes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】本願発明の課題は、従来技術が抱える問題を解決することであり、すなわち表側の洗掘や裏側で生じるパイピング、堤体の浸透破壊の防止を図ることができ、しかも地震時における堤体内のすべりや液状化による沈下の防止を図ることができる土構造物、及びその方法を提供することである。【解決手段】本願発明の補強された土構造物は、表側のり面と裏側のり面を有し、さらに「本体部」とこの本体部よりも透水性が低い「止水性改良体」、本体部よりも透水性が高い「透水性改良体」を備えたものである。なお止水性改良体は、セメント系材料を主体とし、のり尻を含む表側のり面の一部に形成され、一方の透水性改良体は、セメント系材料を主体とし、のり尻を含む裏側のり面の一部に形成される。【選択図】図2
