To provide a banking reinforcement structure which secures water permeability in banking, which holds a stable structure even after an earthquake or overflow, and which does not allow the bank to break.SOLUTION: In a banking reinforcement structure 1, an underground steel wall body 11 is provided which is formed by connecting a plurality of hat-shaped or U-shaped or Z-shaped steel sheet piles installed along a continuous direction at a banking 5 provided so as to continue on a banking foundation ground 3. The underground steel wall body 11 is constituted by a long steel sheet pile 7 embedded in a support layer 15 in the banking foundation ground 3, and a short steel sheet pile 9 reaching the vicinity of a lower end of the banking 5. The long steel sheet piles 7 are arranged with an interval without continuing, and one piece of or a plurality of pieces of short steel sheet pile 9 are arranged between the long steel sheet piles 7. At a portion located in the banking foundation ground 3 in the long steel sheet pile 7, a reinforcement member 19 is provided. The reinforcement member 19 is the member for forming a closed cross section by closing an opening side of the long steel sheet pile 7.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
