To make it possible to prevent glare of users more readily and highly accurately.SOLUTION: A dimming control device comprises: a glare determination unit 102 that determines glare of a driver on the basis of a pupil size of the driver to be detected by a DSM 20; and a dimming control unit 103 that controls a dimming window 30 to be provided in a front windshield of a vehicle and using a hybrid polymer, which is a composite of an organic substance and metal ion, indicative of an electrochromic characteristic. The dimming control unit 103 is configured to automatically switch an amount of transmission of light in the dimming window 30 according to the glare of the driver to be determined by the glare determination unit 102.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
