To improve assemblability of a seal member in an electric steering lock device in which the seal member is mediated between a body and a lock member movable between a lock position engaging with a steering linkage member turning in accordance with steering operation and an unlock position releasing the engagement and slidably supported by the body.SOLUTION: A body 28 is provided with a support hole 31 slidably engaging a lock member 25 and a seal storage recess 33 which follows coaxially an end part on a steering linkage member 23 side of the support hole 31 and is opened to the steering linkage member 23 side. A seal cover 34 which sandwiches, with the body 28, a seal member 32 stored in the seal storage recess 33 so as to squash the seal member inside the seal storage recess 33 to be slid against an outer peripheral surface of the lock member 25, is fitted to a wall surface 35 facing the steering linkage member 23 side of the body 28.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
