SOUND ABSORBER AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF THE SAME
To provide a sound absorber with a large degree of freedom of sound absorption performance and to provide a manufacturing method of the sound absorber which can facilitate manufacture.SOLUTION: In a sound absorber 10 having a porous layer 11 formed of melamine foam, density of an upper layer part 12A and a lower layer part 12B differs from that of an intermediate layer part 13 when the porous layer 11 is divided into three portions of the upper layer part 12A, the intermediate layer part 13 and the lower layer part 12B in the order from a surface side in a thickness direction, and the density of the upper layer part 12A and the lower layer part 12B is 1.10 to 1.63 times as much as the density of the intermediate layer part 13. The sound absorber 10 is manufactured through a compression process for compressing the melamine foam in the thickness direction by heating it at a prescribed temperature.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
