To obtain a joint member which can close and cover a joint regardless of the relative arrangement and plate thickness of the building surface materials on both sides which constitute the joint.SOLUTION: A joint member 10 is inserted into a joint 18 formed between adjacent building surface materials 14 and 16, and includes: an elastically deformable insertion portion 20 which has a hollow closed cross-sectional structure extending along the longitudinal direction of the joint 18; and an elastically deformable decorative portion 22 which is formed on a base end portion 20A of the insertion portion 20, is bridged over design surfaces 14B and 16B of the building surface materials 14 and 16 in a fitting state to the joint 18, and covers the joint 18 along the longitudinal direction. The insertion portion 20 is arranged in natural state so that a width dimension W1 in the joint width direction is set to be larger than a width dimension W2 of the joint 18. And the decorative portion 22 is inclined in natural state toward the insertion portion 20 side as going toward both ends in the joint width direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
