To provide an LED road lighting device that is installed in a low position but can ensure a function of properly illuminating a road surface and support the need of a visual guidance function.SOLUTION: A road lighting device 2 installed in a low position by a roadside 10 includes: an LED light-emitting part 3; a housing 4 including the LED light-emitting part 3 inside thereof; a main opening 40 formed in the housing 4 and opened toward a road direction RD2, where the main opening 40 discharges a part of light emitted by the LED light-emitting part 3 from an inside of the housing 4 to the road direction RD2; and a lead-out part 6 for guiding a part of light emitted by the LED light-emitting part 3 from the inside of the housing 4 to an upstream side RD4 in a travel direction RD1 of a road 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】低位置に設置される道路照明でありながら、道路面の適切な照明機能を確保すると共に、視線誘導機能のニーズに対応可能なＬＥＤ道路照明を提供する。【解決手段】道路脇１０の低位置に設置される道路照明２は、ＬＥＤ発光部３と、ＬＥＤ発光部３を内部に有する筐体４と、筐体４に形成され且つ道路側ＲＤ２を向いて開く主開口４０であって、ＬＥＤ発光部３が照射した光の一部を筐体４内部から道路側ＲＤ２へ開放する主開口４０と、ＬＥＤ発光部３が照射した光の一部を、筐体４内部から道路１２の進行方向ＲＤ１の上流側ＲＤ４へ案内する導出部６と、を有する。【選択図】図１
