To provide an LED road lighting device that is installed in a low position but can ensure a function of properly illuminating a road surface and support the need of a visual guidance function.SOLUTION: A road lighting device 2 installed in a low position by a roadside 10 includes: an LED light-emitting part 3; a housing 4 including the LED light-emitting part 3 inside thereof; a main opening 40 formed in the housing 4 and opened toward a road direction RD2, where the main opening 40 discharges a part of light emitted by the LED light-emitting part 3 from an inside of the housing 4 to the road direction RD2; and a lead-out part 6 for guiding a part of light emitted by the LED light-emitting part 3 from the inside of the housing 4 to an upstream side RD4 in a travel direction RD1 of a road 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
