To provide a vehicle authentication method and a vehicle authentication device that allow an occupant to appropriately use a vehicle dispatch service even when a person who has reserved the vehicle dispatch service is different from the occupant of a dispatched vehicle.SOLUTION: A vehicle authentication method and a vehicle authentication device determine whether or not a reserving person who has sent a vehicle dispatch request matches an occupant who is in a dispatched vehicle based on the vehicle dispatch request, start getting-off control based on an instruction from the occupant when it is determined that the reserving person matches the occupant, and start getting-off control based on an instruction from the reserving person in preference to the instruction from the occupant when it is determined that the reserving person does not match the occupant.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】配車サービスの予約者と配車車両の乗員とが異なる場合であっても、乗員が配車サービスを適切に利用できる車両用認証方法及び車両用認証装置を提供する。【解決手段】車両用認証方法及び車両用認証装置は、配車リクエストを送信した予約者と、配車リクエストに基づいて配車された車両に乗車している乗員とが、一致するか否かを判定し、予約者と乗員が一致すると判定された場合に、乗員からの指示に基づいて降車用制御を開始し、予約者と乗員が一致しないと判定された場合に、乗員からの指示に優先して予約者からの指示に基づいて降車用制御を開始する。【選択図】図３
