To provide a protective material for a footstool for work capable of preventing an object such as an automobile and fixture facing the footstool for work from being damaged when the footstool for work is overturned, tilted or the like, and capable of being easily mounted corresponding to the situation of a job site.SOLUTION: A U-shaped protective material 200 has elasticity and cushioning properties and covers at least a part of a facing surface of an end of a support leg or a footstool in the footstool for work composed of a plurality of support legs, the footstool, and a connection tool. The protective material 200 for the footstool for work is composed of a facing surface protective part 210 abutting on the facing surface, and two side surface protective parts 220 bent and connected to both ends of the facing surface protective part 210 and abutting on at least a part of a side surface of an end part of the support leg or the footstool, wherein an inner angle formed by the facing surface protective part 210 and each of the side surface protective parts 220 before mounting is a right angle or an acute angle, and a total inner angle is less than 180 degrees.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
