To prevent a perforation phenomenon from occurring in a castable refractory for a blast furnace trough metal part.SOLUTION: A castable refractory for a blast furnace trough metal part comprises a refractory raw material and a binder, and is applied to a metal part in a lining of a blast furnace trough, wherein the castable refractory comprises, based on 100 mass% of the refractory raw material: 5 mass% or more and 15 mass% or less of a carbonaceous raw material; 8 mass% or more and 20 mass% or less of a silicon carbide raw material; and 0.1 mass% or more and 2 mass% or less of boron carbide. A content of particles having a grain diameter of less than 75 μm accounts for 15 mass% or more and 30 mass% or less of 100 mass% of the refractory raw material. A content of silicon carbide superfines having a grain diameter of 1 μm or more and 20 μm or less in the silicon carbide raw material accounts for 0.1 mass% or more and 5 mass% or less of 100 mass% of the refractory raw material. The balance in the refractory raw material mainly comprises at least one of a spinel raw material and an alumina raw material.SELECTED DRAWING: None
