To reduce the load on shoulders, waist, and legs during the work even when a large battery is mounted.SOLUTION: A knapsack type blower work machine is provided with a back frame, a volute case mounted on the back frame, a centrifugal fan installed inside the volute case, an electric motor that is attached to the volute case to rotate the centrifugal fan, and a battery that is attached to the back frame to supply power to the electric motor, the back frame having a shoulder belt for a knapsack and the volute case on the upper stage part, and on the lower stage part a battery mounting space that is longer in the vertical and horizontal directions than in the front-back direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
