To provide a column assembly allowing a vertical column to be prevented from inclining when rotation moment acts on the vertical column and a fixing member to be prevented from slipping and dropping out of an H-steel while the fixing member is prevented from being upsized, and a handrail assembly including the column assembly.SOLUTION: A column assembly is provided with a vertical column and a fixing member 40 for attaching the vertical column on an attachment member, wherein the fixing member 40 comprises: a body part 41 having a support piece 41a and a fixing clamp piece 41b arranged in a way of facing each other with a predetermined interval, on which the vertical column 4 is fixed; a movable shaft 42b on which tip a movable clamp piece 44 arranged between the support piece 41a and the fixing clamp piece 41b and capable of clamping an H-steel between the fixing clamp piece 41b and itself is connected; and an operation part 42 moving the movable clamp piece 44 forward/rearward to/from the fixing clamp piece 41b. The movable clamp piece 44 comprises: a flat plate part 44a in one piece plate connected to the tip of the movable shaft 42b; and a bent part 44b formed by bending a pair of opposite side end parts on the flat plate part 44a to the side of the fixing clamp piece 41b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
【課題】固定具の大型化を防止しつつ、縦支柱に回転モーメントが作用した場合の縦支柱の傾きを抑制できる上、固定具が滑ってＨ鋼から外れるのを防止できる支柱装置及びこの支柱装置を備える手摺装置の提供。【解決手段】縦支柱と縦支柱を被取付部材に固定する子固定具４０を備え、固定具４０は、所定の間隔をあけて向い合せに配置される支持片４１ａ及び固定挟持片４１ｂとを有し縦支柱４が固定される本体部４１と、支持片４１ａと固定挟持片４１ｂの間に配置されて固定挟持片４１ｂとの間にＨ鋼を挟持可能な可動挟持片４４が先端に連結される可動軸４２ｂと、可動挟持片４４を固定挟持片４１ｂに遠近させる操作部４２を有し、可動挟持片４４は、可動軸４２ｂの先端に接合される一枚板状の平板部４４ａと、平板部４４ａにおける対向する一組の側端部をそれぞれ固定挟持片４１ｂ側に向けて折り曲げて形成された折曲部４４ｂを有する。【選択図】図５
