STEP LADDER
To provide a step ladder that allows an opening prevention mechanism to be mounted regardless of the size of the step ladder and can be easily closed from a step ladder state.SOLUTION: A step ladder 1 is formed of a pair of ladder bodies 2, 2, which have two poles 3, 3, a plurality of rungs 4 that are laid across the poles 3, 3, and a top board 5 for connecting one end of the poles 3, 3, and are connected at their one ends so as to be relatively rotatable. The step ladder can be deformed into a closed state in which the ladder bodies 2, 2 come close to each other and a step ladder state in which the ladder bodies 2, 2 are spaced away from each other at predetermined interval. The step ladder has an opening prevention mechanism 7 that restricts the relative displacement between the ladder bodies 2, 2 in the step ladder state. The opening prevention mechanism 7 has a restriction release member 82 that releases the restriction of the relative displacement of the ladder bodies 2, 2 in the step ladder state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
