To provide a measurement method for calculating an index to be used in determining a failure of a measurement system or a defect of a structure where a moving body moves.SOLUTION: A measurement method includes: a step S2 of acquiring physical quantities in first to M-th observation points arranged along a second direction which intersects with a first direction in which a moving body moves on a structure, on the basis of observation information obtained by an observation apparatus; a step S3 of selecting multiple sets of N physical quantities out of the acquired physical quantities in the first to M-th observation points, wherein the physical quantity in the i-th observation point is equal to the sum of values of functions yi1 to yiM when yij is a function indicating correlation between an action xj in the j-th observation point and an action to be applied in the i-th observation point by the action xj, and calculating actions in each of N observation points associated with first to N-th paths of the structure on the basis of each of the multiple sets of N physical quantities; and a step S4 of calculating statistics of the actions for each of the N observation points.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
