To provide a method for renovating grit chamber facilities which enables renovation at low cost; and to provide low-cost grit chamber facilities.SOLUTION: A method for renovating grit chamber facilities includes: an interception step (S1) of intercepting the inflow of polluted water to one of a plurality of sand sedimentation tanks; a water level lowering step (S2) of draining the polluted water in the sand sedimentation tank after interception by the interception step to lower a water level in the sand sedimentation tank; and a pump installation step (S4) of installing, in the sand sedimentation tank having the water level lowered by the water level lowering step, a transfer pump for sucking and supplying the polluted water in the sand sedimentation tank to an outlet.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
【課題】安価に改修可能な沈砂池設備の改修方法および安価な沈砂池設備を提供する。【解決手段】沈砂池設備の改修方法において、複数の砂沈降槽のうちの1つに対する汚水の流入を堰き止める堰止工程(S1)と、堰止工程によって堰き止められた砂沈降槽内の汚水を排水して砂沈降槽内の水位を低下させる水位低下工程(S2)と、水位低下工程によって水位が低下した砂沈降槽に、砂沈降槽の汚水を吸い込んで吐出口に供給するための移送用ポンプを設置するポンプ設置工程(S4)とを有する。【選択図】図6
