To provide a fitting structure for a connection member with which a connection member to which a water heater is fitted is readily disposed while being biased toward a corner of a wall.SOLUTION: A fitting structure 1 for a connection member 4 includes: a wall panel 2; a coupling member 3 fitted to a lateral face 203 of the wall panel 2; and a connection member 4 to which a water heater is fitted. The coupling member 3 includes: a first fitting surface 300 to which the lateral face 203 of the wall panel 2 is fitted; and a second fitting surface 310 continuing to the first fitting surface 300 while defining a corner. The second fitting surface 310 is positioned while being flush with a surface 202 of the wall panel 2 and faces the connection member 4 while coming into contact therewith or in proximity thereto.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
